‘Hiking at break of dawn. As the skies were turning from night to day, it felt like the time stopped for that brief moment. As the morning sun crossed into night, we saw the golden lining of the sky far out on our horizon. It only took a few moments before we all looked down into the bowl of Le'ahi (Diamond Head) to see these perfect wave like mist and our luck somehow brought us to one of the rare scenery we’ve ever witnessed. The wave like mist flooding over Le'ahi (Diamond Head) Oahu, Hawaii.’

‘I don’t think I realized how beautiful the color on Rainbow Eucalyptus with sunlight filtering through its own leaves. I knew the color rendition of this magnificent tree and I perched myself among these trees for a few hours completely enamored by the silence in the forest . By chance, the sunlight breached through the dense leaves perfectly lighting the stage like it was meant to be. I left the forest knowing it was worth the journey for that one image.’

‘‘As a photographer, I was always taught to be patient. My mind was tunneled into a specific vision that day and everything was falling apart. None of the images taken were not what I envisioned, as the day was winding down the color all around started to change, It took me a moment but once I saw it, I can never unsee it. It makes me wonder if that vision was ever apart of my subconscious when I took the image or that it was a happy accident. Waikiki blue hour is one of my favorite. Even though the sun has set, the light still glows and it’s pure magic to watch. ’

The wind was still and the most incredible sunrise as the beautiful hues fill the open sky and illuminate this beautiful island we call home.
